Day: Oh man today was weird. I am so glad I took off work today for recovering purposes because after being awake for about one and a half hours this morning we fell back asleep until noon. Yikes. We got up and headed to Dos Segundos for the Mexican food we'd been craving. It was also our first day back on fake meat and I don't know what it was but we both got so full so fast that there is a ton of leftover food in our fridge right now and neither of us wanted food the rest of the day. Weird. We stopped off at the newly opened Milkcrate Cafe and had cappuccinos so we felt like we were still on vacation. I'm so excited that they opened, not because I'm into records, that's cool too, but because I kind of hate Rocket Cat's pretentious ways.
We came home and hung out with the cats and saw the yard squirrels, yay they're all alive and doing well and fought off taking naps. We caught up on some television we'd missed, Always Sunny and Entourage and then headed out to see Kristin and go to Ignite at Johnny Brenda's, which was really cool five minute presentations set to slideshows with fifteen seconds per slide. We are still sort of out of it and left during the 8 bit music intermission. I think even after twelve hours of mismatched sleep we will be heading to bed soon and then back to work tomorrow, sigh.
Today's dress is one of my cherry dresses, I have several but this one is the big winner with its giant cherries. I bought it on a trip to Hawaii in 2000 at this super cute little boutique that had records on the wall as art and amazing clothing and accessories. I can't remember what it was called or if it's still there but it was awesome. It was sort of chilly today and since I've been treated with really awesome weather it was a bit of a shock so I wore tights and boots and a sweater and then later in the night even a jacket.
